Hwa chong open
Hi, the events tmr are as follow:0900 Registration(compulsory)
1215 Reporting-Individual Men's Epee (category C)
1300 Reporting-Individual Women's Foil (category B)
1430 Reporting-Individual Women's Foil (category C)
1700 Prize presentation
So for the participants who can't make it earlier just come one and a half hour earlier than your reporting time. For those not competiting, pls do come down and support. After all, we are a team.=) For the participants, tmr rmb to bring your equipments, water bottles, indemnity forms, long socks and some food or snacks to eat. We are meeting at 7 outside lot 1 macdonalds in the morning to eat breakfast and go there so those who do not know the way can join us. The venue is hwa chong institution kah kee hall. So see ya tmr and rest well today!

Hey BP fencers...
Good news, our blog is now un-dead...
Got a few announcements to make, so take note plz.....
1. HCI Fencing Competition on 22nd December
Events will go as follows:
Category A - Men's Sabre
Category C - Men's Foil/Epee
Category B - Women's Foil
Category C - Men's Sabre/Women's Foil
The competition should start at 0800 or so, and ends sometime at 1800...*8am-6pm*
We're meeting @ CCK MRT at 0700 that day and going together...

2. Tanglin Secondary School Fencing Open
Date: 19 December 2009, This Saturday
Venue: Tanglin Secondary School, somewhere west of Singapore
Category: Open Tournament
Unfortunately, half the fencing team is overseas/on cruise/busy on that day ==
BUT. That means the other half can go...
so sms if you're joining or I will hunt.you.down

3. Fencing Outing
We haven't managed to settle on a suitable date/activity for our outing. ==
With the remaining few weeks, we should kinda decide the stuff now...
Ideas pitched so far are:
Ice-skating
Bicycling
Movie
Eat Buffet
Choing Homeworking session....
Anymore ideas? Otherwise pick 2 of the above and tag on the tagboard..
Fencing is democratic, we go by majority votes =.0
our *ahem* dear captain says can use Post-Comp PT days to go out...
IF we do PT outside ( Biking, skating etc.)
Feedback/Comments/Suggestions/Questions on the tagboard....
Competition Reminder: Bring long socks...they are your fencing passport.

Sorry to inform you guys but BPL is cancelled due to the shortage of teams participating. However, those who like to volunteer to help out with this event can still do so. You will be able to clock CIP hours.
We have another competition that our school is interested in joining. It's the Hwa Chong Fencing Open. It's on 21(Mon) to 23(Wed) of December 2009 at Hwa Chong Instituition Kah Kee Hall. The fencing events for Division C (Sec 1 and 2) will be on the 21st of Dec and the events for Division B (Sec 3 and 4) are on the 22nd of Dec. Both epee and foil will be provided. The registration fees will be fully paid by the school so you do not have to pay any money at all. Our school will only be sending 9 fencers in total for this comp. Those interested, pls tell me by this friday or you will not be entered in this comp. For more details, please go to http://www.hcfo.blogspot.com

Holiday Trianing Schedule
Hey peeps, this is the holiday training schedule:2, 4 and 5 Nov (3.15 to 6pm)
9, 11 and 12Nov (9am to 12pm)
16, 18 and 19Nov (9am to 12pm)
21, 23 and 24Dec (9am to 12pm)
28, 29 and 31Dec (9am to 12pm)
And take note that during the first two weeks of november, there's still 'O' Levels on, so please be quiet. The venue will still be in the hall. Do not be late and if you have any holiday plans, pls inform wanyi or any sec 3 beforehand.

BPL League
Hi, our school will be hosting our very own nation-wide sports carnival titled BPL. It will be held on Thursday, 19th November 2009, 8am to 6pm. Fencing will also be offered.The programme is:
0745- Registration for teams
0830- First games start across all sports
1230- Lunch Break
1330- Games resume for all sports
1630- Games end
1645- Prize presentation in the hall
1730-End of BPL
Our venue will be in the multi-purpose hall. Only two teams per gender from each school will be allowed to participate. One team will only have 3 members. No reserve is allowed. This competition will be based on a foil team event and the format will be direct elimination.
The registration costs per person in $10, which includes a goodie bag. Those who want to participate, please tell Ginny your names, ic numbers, T-shirt sizes, the team's name, team captain's name, contact no. and email address. Please sort out among yourselves who will be in the team. Please inform me by 16th October 2009 and remember to pass me the $30 for each team by then. That's all.
