Hey fencers,
some stuff to announce.

Z Fencing Grand Gala @ Marina Bay Sands, 1st August 2010

We have to reach Marina Bay Sands by 1pm minimum to register,
meeting at Jurong East MRT at 11am, in case we get lost.

By then all of you should have paid the $20, if not bring it along.
Standard FIE rules apply, so bring long socks :P

For those submitting camp proposals,

Please send in the soft copy to me and Brenda,
my email is micho1995@hotmail.com .
Your proposals are unlikely to be accepted at the first go,
but I will guide you along during the process.
Thanks to all those that put in effort to plan the activity, let's hope its good.

Recent things to take note:

1. Z Fencing Gala on 1st August, 2010 @ Marina Bay Sands

If more than 3 BPGHS fencers go, price will be reduced from $65 to $20/ per fencer.
Notify me ASAP if you want to go, namelist will be sent in on Saturday (24/7).
This is not a compulsory event, but I advise those going to Minime 2010 to join.

2. Cat. C & D Referee Seminar 2010
There will be NO referee seminar on the 31st of July, as stated by FS.
Seniors should know how this will affect your Minime attendance if nothing is done,
unfortunately all we can do is wait and see what FS decides to do.

Until then, train hard and do your best for BPGHS Fencing.

The Captain

7:31 PM

uh, first off, thanks Brenda for typing out my instructions.
Second, is that I realised many of you are still not clear of what to do...
therefore, I will now post the final instructions, as of 20th July, 2010 at 7.32pm.

1. All secondary 1s will do 1 proposal, all secondary 2s will do 1 proposal. Nothing more, nothing less.

Should your friends refuse to do it, I strongly suggest that you solo it and save your own skin.

2. Yi Xin is my bruder :d And Brenda is my..................junior.

3. Follow the guidelines when submitting your proposal.

Any proposal coming in that ignores the guideline is immediately rejected, and I will take it as you have not completed.

4. Deadline for the proposal is now 9th August, 2359. Your first proposal is basically What is the game, Why you chose the game and logistics you might need.
Do not attempt humor and send me a proposal to 'Slack' or play netball for an hour; when I reject it you will die be very sad.

5. If any of you don't want to do this/ are unsure of what to do, please approach me, Yi Xin or Brenda to tell us.

This is meant for you guys to try something new and kinda have fun doing it, but if it fails then the Sec 3s will plan it all for you (again...)

6. Whee.

Thanks, and train hard for Minime.

P.S. July 31st President's Test, we are all taking foil and epee...go mug.

On behalf of the 'awesome' fencing captain:
With reference to the previous post by brenda, I have a few points to add and clarify.

The purpose of asking you to plan an activity is for you to be more involved during the camp and it's fun (for me)
The activity the sec 1s are planning should last 1 hour and sec 2s for 2 hours.
The activity must be safe, engaging and fun.
Proposal requirements:
  1. Black font,Arial
  2. Size 12,Header size 20
  3. page number and content page
  4. underline and bold all headers and major things
The punishment is not 5 rounds around the field ; 'motivation' is 1 round around the school & 20 push-ups per day past the deadline which is 9 Aug as mentioned earlier...
This is so strict because the principal will see it and I do not want anyone to get laughed at.
CC all drafts/proposals to the captain and the AWESOME secretary :D
*Your first proposal will be rejected but put in effort & work as a team.

(To Yi Xin : We are more than friends...let's share)

Sorry I have to type this out YX...

Brenda :D

(Tier III: Fencer Mouse from MouseHunt)
Hey Fencers,
seeing as to how 50th Anniversary Celebrations are coming up, I am forced to allow those involved in the mass display/PA to miss CCA since BP50 takes precedence over CCA.
This is not an excuse to miss trainings, because I know who is involved and I will personally slaughter any fencers caught scamming their way out training.
Do take note that U-14 Minime competition is in September so we all have to work hard after this thingy is over.
For trainings (19th, 21st and 22nd July 2010), the Head Armorer will take charge.
Please show her more respect than you show me, because its damn hard to take charge of trainin...
I will randomly run away from my UG practices and check you guys, until the GG drags me back.
Remember to tell our dear secretary if you must be absent, because its not her job to find out why.
Thanks, train hard.
